After weeks of reports of low ticket sales of the upcoming ‘This Is Me…Now’ Tour, on Friday (May 31) Jennifer Lopez announced that she will be canceling the entire tour.
The news comes just a month before the trek was set to kick off on June 26 at the Kia Center in Orlando, and also amid reports that she and husband, Ben Affleck are reportedly set to split.
While it’s not clear whether ticket sales were indeed a factor in the cancelation, the news came on Friday via an official statement from Live Nation who says J. Lo “is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
J. Lo also confirmed the news in a statement via her website:
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Sweetie, please don’t be mad. I, among all other JLovers, completely understand ❤️ you do you and be with your family. They need you more than we do. I LOVE YOU! My love and support will always be a constant 💯❤️💯❤️ #jlo pic.twitter.com/wDmLV76H3a
