After weeks of speculation, it’s official!
Brandy & Monica have announced their long-awaited ‘The Boy Is Mine Tour’ with special guests, Kelly Rowland and Muni Long.
Although news prematurely broke weeks ago, the official announcement came on Tuesday, June 24, along with tour dates and pre-sale info.
The Grammy-winning R&B stars announced Tuesday on “CBS Mornings” their first-ever co-headlining tour, “The Boy Is Mine,” a 24-city arena run that kicks off on Oct. 16 in Cincinnati and concludes on Dec. 7 in Houston.
Speaking on the tour they revealed:
“They were trying to get us to do a tour since ’98, and it just finally felt like the right time,” Brandy said. “It was a dream come true”
Monica called her partnership with Brandy a “musical marriage.”
“We created the communication and the relationship to do it,” she said.
Regarding which songs they will perform, they revealed:
“That part is hard. We want to give them everything that they want, but we can’t keep you there all night. So we have to figure out a way to condense this into two hours of just a celebration of music, celebration of womanhood,” Monica said.
The announcement also came along with an exciting trailer.
