The boys are tussling!
At midnight (April 5), J. Cole dropped a surprise project, ‘Might Delete Later,’ packed with12 new tracks and a fiery alleged diss track titled ‘7 Minute Drill’–which seemingly serves as a clapback record at Kendrick Lamar’s recent jabs.
Fans in the know will recall Kendrick’s recent verse on rapper, Future and Metro Boomin’s new project ‘WE DON’T TRUST YOU’ a few weeks ago ignited the supposed feud.
In the track ‘Like This,’ Kendrick reportedly aimed shots at Drake and J. Cole.
Reportedly, Kendrick’s issue with Cole and Drake stems from not being happy with being lumped together with the pair in the Drake and J. Cole collaboration ‘First Person Shooter,’ where Cole dubbed them the “big three.”
While ‘First Person Shooter’ dropped months ago, Kendrick recently jumped on the Future and Metro Booming track ‘Like That’ rapping in his verse: “Motherf**k the big three, n**ga, it’s just big me.”
J. Cole takes direct aim at Kendrick in the new track which arrives just two weeks after the release of ‘Like That.’
Might Delete Later arrives just two weeks after Kendrick Lamar took aim at Drake and J. Cole on “Like That.”
He opens the track addressing the tension with Kendrick, goes on to diss his recent releases, and throws shade at the Grammys for awarding Kendrick so heavily.
Kendrick has been nominated for 50 Grammy Awards, taking home 17. Meanwhile, Cole has been nominated for 17 and won 2 Grammys.

Drake also seemingly responded to being paired as part of the “Big 3” during his recent tour but not on records:
“Big As The What?” He told the Sunrise, Florida, crowd that there’s “not a n**ga on this Earth that could ever f**k with” him. Fans also speculated that several of his recent Instagram captions contained jabs.
