Rumors that Tamar Braxton and fiance, Jeremy ‘JR’ Robinson had called it quits started running rampant weeks ago, and now the official confirmation has arrived via JR himself.
Fans began speculating that the couple had called it quits after Braxton’s recent car robbery when she took to social media expressing that she is not “not safe anywhere.” During an Instagram Live shortly after, Tamar mentioned being alone, which furthered speculation.
Additionally, the couple’s YouTube series, “All Things Black and White,” hadn’t been updated recently which was a red flag to fans.
On Monday morning (October 2), JR took to social media to reveal that the couple has indeed split and is no longer engaged.
“So many questions. So many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes, Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person.
What happened and why – that’s our private place. No, I never cheated. No, I wasn’t there when she was at her mothers place when her car was burglarized. No, I never cared about fame. Who reveals their most embarrassing moments in their life to find fame. I have always represented famous people and the truth is I was in an amazing place financially and mentally. I turned down Queens Court several times before I gave in. Ultimately, I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it.. So, I want to heal. Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
Tamar and JR met on the dating Peacock series, ‘Queens Court’ where she, alongside other “queens” Evelyn Lozada and Nivea with the help of Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, Rodney Peete aimed to help the ladies find true love.
The season ended with a proposal from JR to Tamar. The two moved in together and co-parented Tamar’s son, Logan, while JR also had multiple children from previous relationships.
Tamar has yet to officially the split.
