Jermaine Dupri has an iconic and historic career that spans over 30 years in the music industry.
The So So Def CEO has written and produced some of the biggest songs in the world for the likes of Mariah Carey, TLC, JAY-Z, Destiny’s Child, Janet Jackson just to name a few.
However, JD has revealed that he has two regrets in his career–not signing Usher and Bruno Mars.
The super-producer took to his Instagram on Thursday night to share a short clip of him having a night out with the two singers, along with Anderson. Paak.
During their boy’s night, JD revealed that despite his many years of crafting hits with Usher, he wished that he had signed Usher years ago when the young singer came to him in the early 90s looking for a record deal.
He also says Bruno came to him as well years later looking to be signed but blames his fumbles with both artists on the lack of vision and resources.
