K. Michelle and Erica Campbell delivered a big surprise to their respective fans this week when they announced that they would be collaborating on a song together.
The news came via Instagram when K. Michelle shared the above snap to her account with the caption “Guess who’s about to do a remix song together”. Erica confirmed the news by retweeting the photo and apparently sent some folks in the gospel community into a rage.
Upon hearing the news some of Erica’s followers began posting negative comments saying that she should give up her title as a gospel artists and even dubbed her the “queen of gospel trap music”
In a set of cryptic tweets Erica responded to the haters, before deleting their comments from the post.
“I chase purpose not paper,” noted Campbell in her post.
“I’m always looking for an opportunity to let God shine! I’m always gonna step outside the box people try and put me in,” Campbell wrote in the cryptic Instagram caption. “Everybody isn’t gonna come to church we have to go get them! And I take the Lord with me everywhere I go… #purpose #ItakecareofGodsbusiness #Godtakescareofmine.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Erica has come under fire from “fans” who have judged her from everything from her infamous tight white dress she wore during a album promo shoot, and even as recent as the flack she received for her song ‘I Luh GOD’.
In other K. Michelle news, on the same post where she announced the collaboration, she received a comment from a fan who pleaded with K to settle her issues with Tamar Braxton and make amends.
K responded letting the follower know that despite her multiple attempts at trying to reconcile with Tamar to no avail, she has moved on from their issues and forgives her for the negative things Tamar has said about her in the media.
