After 13 long years, the feud between Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique is officially over!
The reconciliation took place live on stage in front of a crowded room of fans during a festival in Staten Island where Lee surprised the room by bringing the actress on stage.
As fans know, the two fell out over a debacle surrounding their film ‘Precious,’ and the feud extended to Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. For years Mo’Nique has been vocal about her feelings about the trio and how they treated her following the drama and her reported blackball from the industry.
Well on Friday, all that water was under the bridge as the two took to the stage and Lee declared his love for Mo and issued her a public apology for the hurt he’s caused her surrounding the incident and the years that followed.
Not only that, he announced that the actress will replace Octavia Spencer in his new film ‘Demon House,’ an exorcism film that Netflix acquired in January. Spencer had to bow out of the star-studded film because of a scheduling conflict with her Apple TV+ television show ‘Truth Be Told.’
Get into the moment below.
Mo’Nique took to IG afterward to share an image of the two.
Congrats to both Lee and Mo’Nique on patching up their friendship.
