We told you weeks ago that Lifetime was readying a Keyshia Cole biopic and now the official trailer has arrived.

This week the network unveiled the first trailer for ‘Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story,’ which stars Keyshia Cole as herself.

Keyshia also serves as the executive producer of the project which “follows her early career in Oakland as she honed her musical talents to become a multi-platinum-selling recording artist and TV personality.”

The biopic will also focus on her “complicated yet warmhearted relationship” with her mother Frankie Lons, played by Debbi Morgan.

Keyshia’s biopic is part of Lifetime’s celebration of Black Music Month, which also includes the ‘TLC Forever’ documentary which aired this past week (June 3), and upcoming films executive produced by Mary J. Blige as we told you as well.

‘Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story’ premieres on Lifetime on June 24, but you can peep the trailer below.
