Lil Nas X is no stranger to controversy, and on Friday the rap-singer stirred up even more with the release of his new single and visual ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name).’
The visual for the song features the openly gay performer exploring his queerness proudly, which we’re so here for. As expected, the video “shook the table” and got social media buzzing.

I think this is the first time I’ve seen a black man (or masculine-presenting person) being openly queer and confident in a popular music video? Lil Nas X deserves a ton of praise for this pic.twitter.com/2IviG1VY6v

Lil Nas X looked like he was having the time of his life giving Satan a lap dance and it is genuinely nice to see him get to be so open with himself and his sexuality in his work in a way you don’t usually see us get to be.

There's plenty more where that came from. Meanwhile, Nas X revealed the meaning behind the song and that his debut album 'Montero' will arrive this summer.
