Mariah Huq is opening up with Carlos King for a new sit-down as part of his ‘Reality With The King’ podcast which just dropped its latest episode on Wednesday.
Mariah dished on being the creator and executive producer, and the vision she had for the show to expand before she was ultimately let go as a cast member. She also addressed several long-standing rumors about her issues with the ladies and things that were alleged by them about her.
Get into some of the key points below followed by part 1 of the 2-part interview:
Dished on how she poured her soul into crafting the series, taking charge of everything from producing her very own sizzle reels to handpicking the cast that would dazzle on screen. With fervent determination, she pitched her vision to multiple networks including TLC, before Bravo decided to pick the show up.
How she went to bat for Quad and all the ladies to get equal pay as cast members.
Being ousted from the show after the producers convinced the ladies to go against her in a plot to get her off the cast after her contract as a cast member had come to an end.
Dished on her alleged physical altercation with Quad, and revealed that while there was an altercation, they did not physically fight as it was reported years ago.
Says she doesn’t feel like Quad was pushed out but that the producers/cast want to humble her and bring her ego down which is why she was let go mid-season. She also feels that Quad being ousted isn’t “karma” but is a “dose of her own medicine” after the way Quad and the ladies teamed up to get her out along with production.
She thinks they should recast and bring in fresh blood.
Part 2 drops next Tuesday!
