In partnership with Pepsi®, MTV is bringing fans an interactive social media experience highlighting the genius of Missy Elliott and spotlighting several of the creative visionaries behind some of her most iconic music videos by way of the Museum of Missy Elliott.
The ticketed experience will take place at 632 Broadway in New York City and be open to the public for two days: Saturday, August 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 25th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“I’m so thrilled that MTV, in collaboration with Pepsi, has decided to showcase the amazing work of my dear friend Missy Elliott,” June Ambrose said in a statement. “It has been my distinct honor and privilege to have been fortunate enough to costume design for Missy for so many years, a true labor of love. I wish to congratulate Missy, Hype Williams, HitHat and all the many creatives whose amazing work will be on display at the Museum of Missy Elliott.”
The one-of-a-kind pop up museum will include installations inspired by the masterminds behind some of Elliott’s most legendary music videos, including: costume designer June Ambrose, choreographer HitHat, directors Hype Williams and Dave Myers and more.
As part of the experience, fans will enjoy the Supa Dupa Fly Lounge, a nail bar and a host of original photo activations that will bring to life several of Elliott’s most memorable videos like The Rain, Gossip Folks, Lose Control and more.
