The highly-anticipated and long-overdue sitdown between NeNe Leakes and Carlos King is finally here!

For years fans have been asking for the sitdown, and this week the reality TV mastermind took to social media to reveal that it was finally going down.

He shared a few teasers on Monday revealing that the full 2-part in-person interview would begin rolling out on Tuesday (July 25) with the second part coming next Tuesday (Aug 1) respectively. As promised, part 1 is officially here and is well worth the wait.

During her interview, NeNe dished on the origins of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ revealed that she and the other ladies made little to nothing their first few seasons, and gave her thoughts on when the direction of the show changed (which she attributed to Kenya Moore‘s arrival and antics) and much more.

In a surprising twist, Nene revealed that she did indeed know Phaedra Parks despite previously saying on the show in season 3 that she didn’t know her from back in the day as Phaedra claimed. Nene comes clean and revealed that she denied knowing Phaedra and their Athens, GA connection because she didn’t want her on the show and didn’t think she was a good fit.

She also dished on her thoughts of Cynthia Bailey joining the cast in season 3 along with Phaedra, and some juicy details on shooting the pilot with Sheree Whitfield and Kim Zolciak which didn’t initially include Lisa Wu and DeShawn Snow as part of the show. She also reveals why she and Cynthia will never be friends again, citing that Cynthia was in an alliance with producers and other housewives to get her off the show.

She also touched on her son Bryson’s recent legal drama and his struggles with addiction and her struggles as a mother trying to help him as well as the loss of her husband, Gregg Leakes, their relationship drama, her dating life now, and more.
