Music lovers of the early 2000’s surely remember the group 3LW, who hit the scene with their hit single “No More (Baby Imma Do Right)”. The group was modeled after their predecessors such as TLC and Destiny’s Child and out the gate had major success with their debut album selling over a million copies.
In August of 2002, reportedly after months of tension in the group between members Adrienne Bailon, Naturi Naughton, and Kiely Williams, things took a turn for disaster when the trio became a duo after Naturi left the group during a promo trail for their sophomore album A Girl Can Mack. The singer claimed that there was an altercation that occurred between her and Williams, where Williams threw a plate of hot food at her and verbally assaulted her.
Days later, Naturi took to the radio to address the alleged fight, while her former group mates took to TRL, 106 & Park and other outlets to do damage control and counter Naturi’s claims.
Fast forward over 10 years later, Naturi’s career has blossomed as she has had several film and television roles including her lead role now on Power, while Adrienne has gone on to co-host the FOX daytime talk show The Real.
Kiely however has not had such success since leaving the group and trying her hand at a solo career that went nowhere. In 2015 both Adrienne and Naturi opened up on their time in the group, with Naturi still sticking to her claims that the group was not a good fit for her.
Although the incidents that took place were far from funny, it was quite entertaining and now a new unofficial Youtube video has been compiled showing some rare and unseen footage from past 3LW interviews leading up to their breakup.
“The Shadiest Moments of 3LW (Untold Story)” is in no way affiliated with the members of the group (or this site) but put together via ‘Embellished Pictures‘ and documents just that, some of the groups shadiest moments. The clip features some entertaining and quite frankly hilarious moments from the group that focuses on the tension filled relationship of the trio, specifically Kiely and Naturi.
