It seems as though Nene Leakes continues to win, even her misfortunes turn into fortune. Following Sunday’s episode of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ where Nene rocked a wig that damn near #BrokeTheInternet she is responding to her critics.
Nene who has been heavily critiqued over her bad wig and makeup choices took to her blog to address the social media frenzy over her infamous bob wig and says she found the endless meme’s and comments hilarious. She also claims following the episode she received a call from a company looking to do a wig line with her.
The reality star posted to her blog:
“Being a busy business woman is no joke, but I love what I do and create! For over a year I worked tirelessly with my team creating The NeNe Leakes Collection clothing line for all women of all sizes. I joined forces with HSN to launch this fabulous collection, and I couldn’t have partnered with a better company! As you could see, we started our launch at midnight, but what you may not have realized was that I was there for a 24 hour period that actually started at midnight…
Not only did the cold shoulder tunic sell out, many of my pieces sold out within hours of the launch! I can’t tell you how grateful I am for that. All I want to do is make every woman feel fabulous in the skin she’s in while wearing my collection. Thank you to the entire team at HSN and Tiger J! I am proud to say, we are family! Thanks to all of you that purchased my collection and helped make it a success!
As a designer, you take risks that sometimes don’t work! I think we all can agree the bob wig I wore in my interview didn’t work. I could give you this whole spill about what actually happened that day, but I’d rather not! I will say this though: A wig comes off, so it’s a good thing I am comfortable in the skin I am in. Why let little things like a wig or makeup define me? I’m one of those girls that lives by my own rules, which is why I am a force to be reckoned with. I’m proud of who I am and all that I’ve accomplished! I have discovered my true self, and I couldn’t be happier, but I have a sense of humor and I must say some of the pictures I saw on social media of my hair were hilarious! My hubby and I fell out of the bed laughing at some of the stuff we saw!
P.S. Wearing that wig wasn’t all bad, because the very next day I got a business call from a hair company wanting to do a wig line with me! Cha-Ching! #ByeWig.”
Let’s hope that she isn’t designing the wigs!
