Ciara and Chris Brown have reunited for some new music and just dropped their new single ‘How We Roll,’ their first collaboration in 14 years.
The R&B superstars first joined forces when Ciara joined Brown at the 2008 BET Awards for an iconic performance of his hit single ‘Take You Down.’ They then reunited a year later when Chris jumped on Cici’s 2009’s ‘Turntables,’ from her ‘Fantasy Ride’ album.
Most recently, fans will remember that Chris revealed on social media that he was set to serve as a surprise performance for the 2022 AMAs as part of their secret Michael Jackson tribute. Ciara was also set to join him but the tribute was scrapped just hours before the show leaving the duo, and fans frustrated.
Ciara later confirmed the surprise performance was abruptly canceled by the organizers of the show with no reason why. The AMA producers later issued a statement on the matter.
Fast forward to now, the two are putting that behind them for their new song and the dance-heavy video which you can peep below.
Ciara also revealed that the song will appear on her upcoming new EP, ‘CiCi,’ which will arrive on August 18 via her own imprint, Beauty Marks Entertainment. The project marks the second release from her label following 2019’s ‘Beauty Marks.’
The song is the follow-up to her previously released singles ‘Jump,’ ‘Better Thangs’ ft. Summer Walker, ‘Da Girls’, and its official remix with rappers Lola Brooke and Lady London.
