Usher is tapping into his emotional side with a new track inspired by the current state of the world and unrest across the nation.
The singer released a motivational and powerful song titled ‘I Cry’ this week where he expresses his emotions surrounding the murders of unarmed black men, specifically George Floyd.
“This song was inspired by wanting to teach my sons that it is OK for a man to feel emotions deeply and to cry. Like many men, I was raised to believe that we have to be ‘tough’ and not show our vulnerability, which I don’t want to teach them,” the R&B crooner confirmed.
A portion of Usher’s proceeds from this record will be donated to http://lisc.org in support of the Global Goal: Unite For Our Future campaign.
