It looks like FX’s hit show ‘American Horror Story’ is set to have an equally stellar season 4 as it did with the record breaking season 3 with the addition of legend Patti Labelle to the all star cast. According to reports:

Season four of the series, subtitled Freak Show, will focus on the last American freak show and be set in Jupiter, Fla., in the 1950s, with Jessica Lange in the lead role. The Emmy winner will portray a German expat managing one of the last remaining freak shows in the country. Returning stars set for Freak Showinclude Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett,Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters, among others, as well asAHS newcomers Michael Chiklis, The Hunger Games’ Wes Bentley, Fargo‘s John Carroll Lynch and The Normal Heart‘s Finn Wittrock. Chiklis is playing Bassett’s husband and Bates’ ex-husband.

Patti will play the mother of Gabourey Sidibe’s character who is a local townie who begins to unravel the deadly secrets of Twisty the clown killer. The Grammy award winning singer will appear in four episodes and the new season is scheduled to start in October.
