Paula Patton went viral and has social media in an uproar following a video she shared on her social media on Friday where she was cooking fried chicken using a recipe that her mother taught her.
In the clip, the actress shows the prep work as she briefly rinses her chicken, then batters it in flour, and only seasons it (with Lawry’s seasoning salt, organic pepper, and organic paprika) after adding it to the hot grease. The final product appears to be not fully cooked as she cuts it open to show viewers pink inside.

Well on Tuesday following a weekend of going viral, and being critiqued all over social media, Patton took back to IG to react to the feedback and defended her mother’s recipe. She also revealed that she is open to suggestions to try other ways of cooking her fried chicken, but will always use her mom’s recipe.
