Pharrell Williams Casting Singers From The DMV and Surrounding Areas For New Televised Documentary

Pharrell Williams just wrapped his super successful first ever ‘Something In The Water Festival’ in his hometown of Virginia Beach back in late April–and now the super producer extraordinaire is on to his next venture.

Reportedly Pharrell is looking to cast gospel singers from Virginia Beach, D.C., Maryland and other neighboring areas for an upcoming televised documentary he is working on according to reports:

Williams is casting vocal powerhouse and musicians to be a part of this community movement to showcase the best artists from the Hampton Roads area, where he grew up. Together with these fresh faces from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton and Suffolk, they will form a revolutionary choir in an upcoming gospel project.

Auditioners are also welcome from neighboring cities (Richmond, Williamsburg) and states North Carolina, DC, Maryland and Delaware. Singers and musicians are encouraged to apply from all backgrounds and genres of music, including blues, jazz, rock, country, pop, soul, gospel, opera and R&B.

The deadline to enter submissions for the project is Monday, June 17, 2019.

Guidelines:

-Introduce yourself, name, city, occupation

-tell them your story in one minute or less

-when did you start singing? How did you learn?

-who is your biggest musical influence and why?

-what does singing mean to you? How does it hold significance in your life?

-why do you want to share your voice with the world?

-belt it out. Please use a verse accapela from one of the following songs:

Amazing Grace

Jesus Love Me

Great is Thy Faithfulness

The Old Rugged Cross

-And a chorus from a song of your choosing.
