Pharrell Williams, the man who’s made the world “Happy,” is now in hot water for donning a First Nation headpiece for the July cover of Elle UK. The topper is usually reserved for a person of high rank within the Native American culture. Yesterday, the N.E.R.D. frontman issue a statement of apology saying, “I respect and honor every kind of race, background and culture. I am genuinely sorry.” Williams is known for his bold fashion statements and we’re quite sure he didn’t mean to offend anyone with his latest fashion choice. The issue is on newsstands now.
