After 15 total nominations and no wins over her career, Jazmine Sullivan officially left Sunday night’s Grammy Awards as a two-time Grammy-Award-winning artist!
The singer took home the award for Best R&B album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for her ‘Heaux Tales‘ project beating out Snoh Aalegra (Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies), Jon Batiste (We Are), Leon Bridges (Gold-Diggers Sound), and H.E.R. (Back of My Mind).
That’s not all! She also took home the award for Best R&B Performance for ‘Pick Up Your Feelings’ which was tied with Silk Sonic’s ‘Leave the Door Open,’ so both acts now share the honor.
That means Jazmine scored two of her three Grammy nominations this year, as she was also nominated for Best R&B Song for ‘Pick Up Your Feelings,’ which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart and became her first chart-topper.
Jazmine was previously nominated for Best New Artist in 2009 and has since racked up 15 nominations in the Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and Best R&B Song categories over the past 13 years.
Congrats to Jazmine on her long-overdue WINS tonight!
