Beyonce fans in Pittsburgh had their hearts broken yesterday when it was announced that their previously announced show of her highly-anticipated ‘Renaissance World Tour’ was officially being canceled.
On Wednesday morning, Acrisure Stadium, which was set to host the concert on Aug. 3, shared a statement via social media announcing that the concert has been canceled “due to production logistics and scheduling issues.”

Additionally, stops in Seattle and Kansas City, have been postponed as both venues cited the same issues. While those fans can try to move their schedule around to accommodate the new dates, the Pittsburgh BeyHive members who’ve been preparing for months for their show are reeling at the news that their show is not being rescheduled.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh’s Mayor Ed Gainey released a statement following the news revealing he is in talks with Live Nation to see if there is any way possible to get the show back on even if it has to occur at another date or venue.
“Pittsburgh — we are deeply disappointed in the news that Beyoncé has canceled her performance on August 3. We were fully prepared to welcome her to Pittsburgh and honor her with an official day recognizing her visit and accomplishments. We are in conversations with the promoter for the event in order to gain an understanding about what led to the cancellation, and if there is anything we can do as a city to find a new date or location for her show.”
