For weeks there has been speculation around who would fill the very big shoes of host of ‘Fashion Police’ following the death of its matriarch Joan Rivers. Kathy Griffin was the early choice that had been reported however, Kathy shot down the rumor saying that she didn’t feel the job was right for her at the time. Other names thrown into the ring were ‘RHOA’ star Nene Leakes who alluded that the job was offered to her, and even Tyra Banks was allegedly considered.

Now comes word of the official replacement courtesy of TMZ that Kathy Griffin has officially accepted the deal to join alongside Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. The fate of George Kotsiopoulos on the show is unclear at this time.

The outlet also reports that the show will no longer be a weekly series. E! will roll it out during awards shows and other occasions as event programming. The show was originally said to be returning in January 2015 and Giuliana recently confirmed that they will return for a ‘Golden Globes’ special.

Congrats to Kathy, we think she is an excellent choice, and since George is possibly out can we throw in our bid for his replacement to be fashion darling E.J. Johnson?
