Season 11 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ is coming to a close soon as the finale and upcoming reunion are set to air in the next few weeks, so naturally rumors of cast changes for the next season are about to begin.
While the ladies are divided on wanting Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore back for season 12, it looks like there is another leading lady whose name has been thrown in the mix.
Veteran actress Robin Givens who fans remember from her role in the classic ‘Boomerang’ and currently stars on ‘Riverdale’ and is shooting a new Atlanta based show ‘Ambitions,’ is said to be in the running for next season.
We hear casting rumors all the time regarding hiring and firing, and nothing is ever confirmed until Bravo says so, but this we’d be here for if it panned out to be true.
via EurWeb:
According to a Bravo insider, Givens, who is allegedly a good friend of series stars Nene Leakes and Cynthia Bailey, wants to join the show.
As reported by AceShowbiz, Givens has been tapped to be the newest addition to the Bravo reality show.
“We approached [Robin] years ago to be on the ‘Housewives’ and she declined,” the insider reveals. “Now she’s open to it.”
“Oh [Robin] is definitely going to be on the show,” the insider further claims. However, it’s currently unknown “whether she’ll be a housewife or a friend, but she’s on.”
News of Robin’s potential participation on the show comes as reports claim Kenya Moore is desperate to return to the show. You may recall how BRAVO producers initially wanted to demote her but Moore wasn’t having it – so she reportedly walked but demanded a huge payout for her continued participation.
Ace Showbiz writes “ The mother of one allegedly was looking for a return to the show and offering to rejoin the show with only $500,000 per season. That was a huge paydown for Kenya as it meant she was offering a 75% discount from her initial $2 million salary two seasons ago.”
“She’s even willing to take a friend of the show role,” an insider claimed. “She’s desperate to get back on the show, in any way.”
Again, these are unconfirmed reports and only time will tell who makes the cut for season 12. Robin was spotted hanging with Kenya and Cynthia Bailey last month at a Rolling Stone party in Atlanta, so apparently she already has connection to the ladies.
The ever reliable RHOA fan page later took to social media following our posting to confirm that although they could not confirm current negotiations for Ms. Givens, she was indeed asked to join the show for season 6 but ultimately declined.
Has she now had a change of heart? Stay tuned.
