Summer concert season 2024 is upon us, and following a slew of festival, and highly-anticipated tour announcements, now comes one of the faves of music lovers.
On Monday (Feb. 19) the official lineup and date for the Roots Picnic 2024 were unveiled, and per usual the annual soiree will be another one for the books.
The festivities return to Philly’s Fairmount Park to kick off the month of June this year, and it’s a jam-packed lineup on June 1st and June 2nd. This year, the celebration will center around the music of New Orleans with The Roots and Lil Wayne headlining alongside PJ Morton, and other guests to bring that NOLA feel to Philly. Jilly from Philly herself, Jill Scott; Nas, Gunna, and Victoria Monet serve as co-headliners.
Other performers include Babyface, J.Period Live Mixtape featuring Black Thought, Method Man, and Redman; Adam Blackstone’s Legacy Experience featuring Fantasia and Muni Long; a Go-Go-Alert segment featuring Backyard Band with Scarface, Amerie, and more.
The lineup totals over 40 artists including DJs and podcasters who will also take to the stage and host segments. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 23rd at 10 a.m.
