After months of teases, the official trailer for the ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ sequel has arrived.
Sony released the trailer online Tuesday ahead of its July 18 theater release.
The Jennifer Kaytin Robinson-directed sequel revives the horror franchise that launched with the original 1997 movie of the same name, and it’s sequel ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.’
The 2025 take stars Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King and Chase Sui Wonders, with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. reprising their roles from the first feature and its 1998 follow-up.
Brandy who also starred in the 1998 sequel previously teased possible involvement in the new film although that has yet to be confirmed, and she doesn’t appear in the trailer.
The new film centers on a group of five friends facing dangerous consequences after making a pact to stay silent about their involvement in a tragic car accident. The aftermath leads them to connect with two survivors of the Southport Massacre from 1997.
