The legendary Stephanie Mills stopped by ‘The Breakfast Club‘ on Monday to dish on her new music, her storied career, and even teased a ‘Verzuz‘ battle with Chaka Khan.
During her in-person appearance, she dished on her new single ‘Do The Right Thing‘ and how it was inspired by George Flloyd’s murder, as well as black-on-black crime. She also dished on why she thinks Juneteenth becoming a national holiday doesn’t impress her.
On whether she would ever do a ‘Verzuz’ battle, the living legend reveals that her manager–who she shares with Chaka–approached the ‘Verzuz’ team about the opportunity to do one with Chaka and they were not interested at the time.
Her manager moments later revealed that it is actually now back in the works. She also dished on other black organizations such as BET, Essence, etc. not supporting her over the years.
She also revealed that she believed her good friend Michael Jackson was murdered.
