Blackground Records 2.0 and EMPIRE are continuing to roll out their catalog of past albums from Blackground artists including Aaliyah, Tank, JoJo, Timbaland, and more that have not been available digitally for over a decade.
The digital rollout started with Aaliyah’s ‘One In a Million’ a few weeks ago, and now this week it continues with the release of the companion soundtrack for the 2000 action flick ‘Romeo Must Die.’
The hit film starred Jet Li and Aaliyah, who also contributed four songs to the compilation of her feature film debut including her hits “Come Back in One Piece” ft. DMX, “Are You Feelin’ Me,” “I Don’t Wanna,” and “Try Again.”
The soundtrack which was originally released on March 28, 2000, also included music from Destiny’s Child, Joe, Chante Moore, Dave Hollister, Lil Mo, Timbaland, and more.
Aaliyah’s 2001 self-titled album is the next project to finally arrive on streamers on September 10. Her compilation albums ‘I Care 4 U’ and ‘Ultimate Aaliyah’ arrive on October 8.
