Photographer Steven Klein must be smitten with supermodel Joan Smalls because she’s starred in a dozen of his editorial over the last few months. We’re not complaining either because we never get tired of seeing the in-demand stunner. This time we find Smalls playing the ruler of a futuristic fantasy land for Vogue Italia Couture Supplement. We’re obsessed with the editorial because not only does it show off Joan’s versatility as a model, but it’s also refreshing to see a woman of color take center stage.

Let’s cross our fingers the magazine blesses up with another “Black Issue.” in the near future. With a whole new crop of black models (hello Jourdan, Malaika and Riley) making a splash in the world of fashion we think its due.
