Syleena Johnson is keeping it 100 and telling it like it is!
During a recent visit to 96.1 The Beat in Atlanta, the singer dished on the status of R&B singers and says the artists of now are delivering watered-down vocals, unlike their predecessors.
The singer says she comes from an era where you had to know how to sing like legends such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Brandy, Chaka Khan, Aretha Frankin, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Mary J. Blige, Tevin Campbell, and others.
Syleena feels that the new wave of singers isn’t singing or connected to the emotion of what they are singing which translates into watered-down music.
Get into it below.
Is she spitting? Is this why R&B music is wack now?🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Is vocal ability still required to do R&B in this new era of music!???🎤
