TLC fans were saddened to hear earlier this week that the legendary group was canceling a slew of tour dates due to a recent health scare that Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins was dealing with.
As widely reported, the group was forced to cancel their August 23 performance at the New York State Fair and additional upcoming shows due to a medical issue.
“Shortly after arriving in Syracuse, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps,” a statement from TLC at the time shared on social media read.
It further stated, “She was immediately seen by a doctor and subsequently taken to the hospital for further evaluation.”
T-Boz later took to her social media on Wednesday (Aug. 28) to confirm that her medical issue was a “severe abdominal blockage,” and that she was on the mend.

Following the health scare and tour cancelations, T-Boz joined ‘The Breakfast Club’ on Thursday morning (Aug. 29) to dish on the health scare, and her plans to retire from performing alongside her groupmate, Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas next year.
She revealed:
“Touring is hard! You ain’t have to have a disease to take a break or get an injury. It’s hard out here. my dancers be broke down at 20. Things are getting harder.
That’s why I’m gearing up to retire (from touring). Probably next year will be my last tour. So, if y’all wanna come and see TLC, I suggest you do it now because I’m not going to be doing this much longer. I am 54, but I’m blessed. I was told I wouldn’t live past 30. I’m 54 still on stage, selling out arenas and stadiums, traveling the world. This is like a dream and something that I prayed for and God gave it to me. So, when God and my body say it’s time to stop, then I will stop. I ain’t crazy I’m not going to kill myself doing this!”
