Late Saturday night, May 21 word broke that Tamar Braxton had been axed from her daytime talk show The Real. Tamar had also posted a cryptic message on her Instagram just hours before the story broke, alluding that someone had “stabbed her in the back” and that it wasn’t her husband or her sisters.
Sources close to the show allegedly stated:
Tamar Braxton just got fired from ‘The Real.’ She wasn’t reading too well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers. Also, production found her too difficult to deal with.
However, despite that, many began speculating that it was one of her co-hosts, specifically Jeannie Mai or Loni Love who was responsible for the alleged “backstabbing”, and to further that speculation, Tamar deleted a pic of she and Jeannie on a double date just days prior AND she totally unfollowed both ladies on social media.
Well now, an official statement has arrived from The Real and it confirms Tamar’s departure.
” The Real’ and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season,” according to a statement attributed to “The Real” and Braxton issued Sunday, after word of her departure began to spread online. “She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with ‘The Real’ appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
