LaTocha Scott made headlines this week as the latest singer to participate in the viral Chris Brown “Residuals” challenge, during which she expressed her grievances with her family.
In her cover of the hit song, she addressed the controversial headlines surrounding her over the past few years, including the highly publicized drama with her sister, Tamika Scott, over allegations of stealing money.
Additionally, she spoke about her departure from their group, Xscape, claiming that she was kicked out. LaTocha also revealed her marital issues with her husband, Rocky Bivens, stating that they have been separated for two years following reports that he fathered a child with another woman.

Fans interpreted the song as a plea from Tamika to her sister to mend their relationship, but Tamika suggests this may not be the case.
On Thursday, Tamika called into ‘The Rickey Smiley Show’ to share her thoughts about the song. She revealed that she recently attended a family event where she saw both her sister and mother, but they left as soon as they spotted her.
Tamika reiterated her willingness to reconcile with her sister when she is ready to discuss their issues, including the allegations of stolen finances.
Furthermore, Tamika implied that the song might be more of a “marketing tool” for her sister to promote her new music rather than a genuine attempt at reconciliation. She also hinted that the claims about separating from Rocky may not be true.

Following Tamika sharing the clip of her Rickey Smiley interview, LaTocha took to her comments.

Kandi also reacted to the song, and LaTocha’s claims during an interview with Vibe on Thursday.
Only time will tell what will transpire. Stay tuned.
