Just days ago, Actress Loretta Devine sat down for an interview with Tamron Hall and was quizzed on the status of the long-awaited ‘Waiting To Exhale‘ sequel.
The veteran actress revealed that to her knowledge, the project had switched gears a little and was set to focus on the children of the main characters, and was set to bring Lee Daniels on board in some capacity.
Well, now author and creator Terry McMillan has officially confirmed the plans and says the “sequel” to the 1995 movie which was adapted from her 1992 novel will now return as a TV series.
So, WAITING TO EXHALE is going to be a TV series. Produced by Lee Daniels. Attica Locke and Tembi Locke are writing. Anthony Hemingway will direct. I lucked out.
