The cast of ‘The Color Purple’ is on full promo run, and this week they continued the trek by stopping by ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ to dish with J.Hud on the film and much more.

Fantasia Barrino Taylor, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, and the film’s producer, Oprah Winfrey dished on everything from Oprah interviewing Jennifer on her show when she was promoting “Dreamgirls.”

Fantasia and JHud reflected on their “American Idol” journey, plus Danielle talks about stepping into Jennifer’s shoes on Broadway.

Colman Domingo later joined and shared how his mother wrote to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” many times and how he believes her prayers were answered. Corey Hawkins also joined and reflected on attending Juilliard with Danielle Brooks before they starred together in “The Color Purple” movie.
