It was announced months ago that Michelle Williams was set to join the cast of the ‘Death Becomes Her‘ musical, and on Sunday night it kicked off its Chicago tryout in advance of a planned fall Broadway stint.
The cult classic made its musical debut at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago with Jennifer Simard, and Megan Hiltyas taking on the roles of Madeline and Helen famously played by Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn in the 1992 film.
However, the Destiny’s Child alum’s role as Viola Van Horn, a sorceress who promises the two scheming women eternal youth, has social media talking and raving over her vocal performance.

As expected, social media went into a frenzy LOVING the performance clips.
Amid all the love she’s receiving since Sunday, Michelle took to her IG to reshare the clip and reminded fans that they can see her in the musical until June 2 before it moves to Broadway this fall.
