While fans of ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ spent Sunday night watching the ladies battle it out, news has just come on Monday that two of them will be doing even more batting, out of court.
Rapper, Eminem aka Slim Shady is now in a legal dispute with Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon of over a recent legal filing.
The RHOP duo who is known for their “Reasonably Shady” podcast is trying to expand the brand and apparently filed an application to trademark the brand and name. However, Eminem has apparently owned the rights to “shady” and is fighting their request to use it for their own brand and products which according to the application were to include makeup, lipsticks, clothing, accessories, and more.
A copyright attorney by the name of Clarissa Harvey took to Twitter to share the legal documents and broke down what is going on. While the ladies filed for the trademark in February of last year, Em has owned the trademark to “shady” since 1998.
Despite the RHOP ladies having absolutely no relation to Em and what he uses his trademark for, Em feels the distinction between his brand and theirs is too close for comfort and is fighting against their use of it.
Get into the breakdown below.
Will the real “SLIM SHADY” please stand up? 🎤

Eminem says “confusion is unavoidable”.
“REASONABLY SHADY simply looks & sounds like “SHADY” and it’s likely that consumers will believe the podcast and merch are sponsored, licensed and/or otherwise approved by, or are in some way connected with him.
