Spring/Summer 2023 concert season is almost upon us, and now one of the most popular festivals has announced it’s star-studded lineup full of heavy hitters.
The official roster for The Roots Picnic 2023 made its way online on Monday (Feb.20) and sees Ms. Lauryn Hill as the official headliner celebrating the 25th anniversary of her groundbreaking album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.’
Diddy & The Roots, and Dave Chappelle will also serve as headliners while acts such as Ari Lennox, City Girls, Lucky Daye, Glorilla, SYD, Eve, Busta Rhymes, The Isley Brothers, Coco Jones, Mary Mary, and more round out the action-packed bill.
There will also be a State Property reunion featuring Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Young Gunz, Peedi Crakk, Oschino & Sparks as well as a Go-Go music lineup featuring Backyard Band, and Rare Essence.
Dave Chappelle will headline the first night (June 2) with The Roots as a comedy night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly, while the official concert portion of the festival will take place the following nights June 3 and June 4 at the TD Pavillion at the Mann.
Various pre-sales start Tue, Feb 21 @ 10:00 am EST while general public sale starts Wed, Feb 22 @ 10:00 am EST.
