One has the highest rated talk show on daytime, the other has one of the highest rated shows on radio, both used to work together but now something has changed. Fans of Wendy Williams that have followed her radio career remember that the legendary radio pioneer gave Charlamagne Tha God of ‘The Breakfast Club’ his start years ago when he was her co-host on her hit radio show from 2006-2008.
I used to listen to the two faithfully every single day, and loved the chemistry between them but apparently now a days there is no love at least as far as Wendy is concerned. During an interview this week with Elvis Duran, Wendy was speaking on her iconic career and upcoming projects when Elvis referenced Charlamagne only for Wendy to throw a little shade.
Elvis: In the interview I heard you said to our friend Charlamagne who’s just down the hall who used to work with you years ago –
Wendy: Who?
Charlamagne. Charlamagne Tha God.
Wendy: Who? I can’t identify with people I don’t know. Who?

Well following the interview, folks took to social media to address Wendy’s shade toward Charlamagne and try to understand what happened that she seemingly has put him in the past. Charlamagne however had nothing negative to say regarding Wendy, and even got into a spat with a fan page of hers for accusing him of being at fault for their falling out.
Although the details of why the former partners in crime are no longer on good terms, Charlamagne did previously reveal during an interview with Arsenio Hall this year that he and Wendy’s husband Kevin had a falling out, which possibly could be where her issue with him stems from.
“Shoutout to Wendy,” he said. “I haven’t talked to her in like four years but she definitely gave me my break as far as this radio thing is concerned. I used to do “man on the street” stuff for her show like back in 2009.”
So exactly why haven’t they spoke in so long? The South Carolina native said it may have something to do with his rocky relationship with Wendy’s husband Kevin.
“There’s no beef,” he explained. “Me and her husband had a falling out but as far as I know me and Wendy are cool.”
“I can’t be mad at her for riding with her husband,” he added. “That’s her husband! So if her husband don’t f**k with me then I don’t blame her for not f**king with me either. You know?”
He also talked about it in another interview in October 2013 but was still very appreciative and respectful to his mentor.
