Day 26 is back and with all five original members!
The group which rose to fame on ‘Making The Band 4’ and released two hit albums together have reunited after a brief split.
As fans know, the group formed officially at the end of MTB4 and became Day 26 in 2007 with group members Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Willie Taylor, Que Mosley, and Mike McCluney.
The group appeared on multiple seasons of MTB, released two hit albums, and toured and topped the charts before Que ultimately left the group in 2009 following several disputes with his fellow members and management.
The group continued on with just four members: Rob, Mike, Willie, and Brian. Then in July 2012, the remaining four members announced they would be disbanding the group to focus on solo careers.
In 2017, fans were excited when all five members reunited to celebrate their 10-year anniversary and began doing anniversary shows and recording new music.
Then in 2018, Brian announced he was leaving the group to focus on his solo career, leaving Que, Mike, Rob, and Willie as the four sole members leaving fans somber yet again.
Fans haven’t heard much from the guys since then, leaving little to no hope for the possibility of their long-awaited third album to ever see the light of day.
Now, on Monday (July 18) the group took to their official group social media pages to announce that all five members are back together in the gym and recording new music in preparation for their upcoming 15-year anniversary.
No word yet about what they have in store for fans but as Day 1 Day 26 fans over here, we are so ready for it! Stay tuned and here’s to hoping we get some more of that dope R&B and vocals that only they bring!
