It looks like fans of the ‘Bad Boys’ franchise will be getting the highly-anticipated ‘Bad Boys 4′ sooner than expected.
On Monday night, Sony Pictures announced that the fourth installment will be moving to June 7th, up one week from its previously scheduled June 14th debut.
The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence anchored film will now screen in IMAX and premium large formats. Details surrounding the film and plot are currently under wraps outside of the characters of Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) returning.
The cast will include familiar and new faces such as Vanessa Hudgens as Kelly, Alexander Ludwig as Dorn, Paola Núñez as Captain Rita Secada, John Salley as Fletcher, and Tasha Smith as a recast Theresa Burnett. Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, and Joyner Lucas have also been cast in currently unknown roles.
The film will be the follow-up to 2020’s blockbuster ‘Bad Boys For Life’ which grossed $204.4 million in the United States and Canada, and $220.2 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $424.6 million, with a production budget of $90 million.
‘Bad Boys 4‘ will be released exclusively in theaters on Friday, June 7th.
