Fans of the hit ‘The Best Man‘ franchise which includes the original 1999 film, and its 2013 follow-up ‘The Best Man Holiday,‘ were crushed to find out that the previously teased third installment was being scrapped.
However, that sadness was short-lived when it was revealed last year that instead, a full-on series was in the works that will close out the stories of the beloved characters fans have grown to know and love over the years.
In ‘The Best Man: Final Chapters’ set to stream exclusively on Peacock, fans will be reunited with the original cast Morris Chesnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrance Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Harold Perrineau.
The series will welcome actors Nicole Ari Parker, Brandon Vixtor Jackson, Tobias Truvillion, and others as new characters to the franchise.
According to Peacock, the series based upon the eponymous Universal film franchise written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee will be a limited drama series consisting of four episodes. The series will catch up with the fan-favorite characters as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.
The director confirmed in an Instagram post that Quentin, played by Terrence Howard, will be tying the knot in the series. He shared snaps on set with Terrence and fellow co-stars Harold Perrineau and Morris Chestnut.
