Timbaland & Missy Elliott Tease New Joint Album

Posted December 2, 2021

Missy Elliott and Timbaland have been friends and collaborators for over three decades and have brought us some of the biggest hits for any and every artist you can think of in that span of time.

Now, the dynamic duo might be teaming up to do their first-ever joint project together. While the two have co-written and co-produced, and been featured on endless tracks together, they have never done a full body of work as a duo.

This week, both took to social media to tease that a long-overdue joint project is on the way. Missy kicked it off on Tuesday when she shared a video of herself vibing to her ‘Bite Our Style (Interlude)’ from her 1997 debut album ‘Supa Dupa Fly,’ with the caption “Me & @Timbaland falalalala #757 #DMV”

Fans initially didn’t think much of it other than just a visit down memory lane. That changed on Wednesday when Timbaland took to his social media to directly tease a new project asking fans who was ready for a Missy and Tim album.

Missy cemented the confirmation by resharing the tweet to her timeline along with a fresh gif to build the excitement.

While it’s not clear when we can expect the project or any firm details, the idea already has us salivating.

The new project will be Timbaland’s first release since his 2018 mixtape titled ‘Drop,’ while his last full album was 2009’s ‘Shock Value II.’

Meanwhile, Missy’s last album ‘The Cookbook,’ but she gave fans a little teaser of new music via the ‘Iconologly’ EP released in 2019 and featured the singles/videos ‘Throw It Back,’ ‘DripDemeanor,’ ‘Cool Off,’ and ‘Why I Still Love You.’

Missy also just received her highly-anticipated star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame just two weeks ago.

Stay tuned!
