Janet Jackson kicked off her highly-anticipated ‘Together Again Tour’ this past weekend in Hollywood, FL and based on all accounts, the icon and mega-star brought the house down per usual.

Ahead of the big show though, Janet welcomed TODAY’s Sheinelle Jones to attend the show, join her onstage as one of her backup dancers for the first show, and gave her an exclusive backstage interview.

The moment all came to be after Janet appeared on TODAY months ago when she announced the tour, and Sheinelle revealed how much of a die-hard fan she was, and that one of her dreams was to be a background dancer for her.

Well, Janet promised Jones that she would have her join her for the opening night, and kept her promise.

During the sitdown ahead of the show, the Queen of Pop gave an exclusive behind the scene look at the costumes and wardrobe, dished on her new documentary that we previously told you about, and got very emotional when discussing her six-year-old son, Eissa Jackson.
