Lips are still wagging after Sunday’s Soul Train Awards which was pre-taped weeks ago and aired last night (Nov 29) on BET/Centric. Complete with some of the best performances we’ve seen in years for an award show, one of the highlights of the night was the long overdue Babyface tribute.
During the showing, singers such as Brandy, Boyz II Men and more came out to perform some of their biggest hits penned by Babyface while Fantasia took the stage to perform covers of ‘Exhale (Shoop Shoop)’ (originally performed by Whitney Houston) and ‘Superwoman,’made famous originally performed by Karyn White.
Although Fantasia did a stellar job, many were wondering why Karyn was not booked to perform her own song which she took to the top of the charts back in 1989.
Well following the show, Karyn took to her Facebook page on Monday morning to address the matter. Get into her explanation below.
