We told you weeks ago that August Alsina visited Nick Cannon for his new series ‘Counsel Culture’ on Amazon’s Prime Video, to dish on his relationship with his partner Zu, and his sexuality journey.
The visit serves as his first in-depth discussion on the matter since he revealed his relationship to the world on the finale of VH1’s ‘The Surreal Life’ last year.
Since then, the pair have spent holidays together, gone in business together, and displayed their love on social media for fans to see and admire.
And while Alsina has not defined his “sexuality” his fans have been curious and now he is opening up on his journey to self-discovery.
In the extended clip, he revealed:
“To be honest, it’s not me that’s opening my heart…it’s the power that’s higher than myself. The greatest gift that God could have ever given me was exposure. To expose me to so many different types of people, places, things. So, when people want you to define yourself, as gay, straight, bisexual, love is so much more complex.”
Check it out below.
August Alsina is asked about loving another man, and he speaks about opening his heart, saying that love is much more complex.
