Actress Jessica Alba has been keeping a low profile these last couple of years, but that will all soon change with a few movies slated to hit the big screen this year. The 32yr old actress first major return is on the March issue of Nylon magazine. Besides Alba’s upcoming role in the action-comedy Barely Lethal, the star opens up regarding her love of acting and and of course, fashion. On how she chooses the type of roles to play:
“I don’t have to be a boss; I don’t have to be a wife; I don’t have to be a sister … It’s been liberating to be able to play someone who’s a badass or promiscuous, because that’s the opposite of who I am … It’s like a drug.”
On learning to be herself:
“Before, I was so fearful of failure and judgment that I was scared to put myself out there. You don’t have to be a robot. You don’t have to be appropriate all the time. I used to be so hard on myself … but you have to realize that as long as you don’t make a habit of it, tomorrow will be here, and everything will be OK.”
