Russell Wilson is thoroughly enjoying married life and the joys of being a step dad. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback, who is fresh off his honeymoon with Ciara, held his ‘Why Not You?’ Foundation event on Tuesday night (July 26) and spilled on his new found joy.
Despite the constant hate and shade that is thrown there way by the public who disagree with him being active in Baby Future‘s life, Russell says he takes his duties as a step dad very seriously and that the responsibility has given him a new sense of purpose.
“Being a step father is one of the most loving things you can do. You really learn how to love, ‘love.’”
He continued, “Especially, when he’s not yours, you know? You realize that every kid matters in this world. Every person, every child, every heart, every soul matters. That’s what I think about when I see her little son, every time I’m around her. When I’m not around her I always think about them too. They’re an inspiration.”
