All eyes were on the BET Awards 2025 on Monday night, where the highly anticipated ‘106 & Park‘ tribute and reunion took place.
Fan favorites Free, Terrence J, Big Tigger, Julissa Bermudez, Bow Wow, Keisha Chante, and others took the stage, but AJ Calloway and Rocsi Diaz were noticeably absent.
Their absence became more concerning, as both had been present during a visit to ‘The Breakfast Club’ a few weeks prior when the reunion was announced and confirmed they would attend.
On Tuesday, both Calloway and Diaz took to social media to explain why they were unable to attend as planned.
Rocsi took to her Instagram to reveal:
I’m so sorry if I let you down 😢 . Just know I tried everything possible to be a part of the 106 & Park reunion it really meant a lot to me to be there with my fellow host. 106 was by far the best thing that’s ever happened to my life.
106 gave me the tools and foundation to become the TV Host I am today. Also, because of you the livest audience, you are the ones who have kept me relevant all these years later. Your love and support has been fuel for me to keep going and keep advocating for the culture on major platforms.
On the topic of platforms. I’m currently about to embark on one of the biggest stages of my career. I hope you will support this new project more details coming as soon as I can announce it. So just know it was because of an immediate job opportunity I was unable to take part in the reunion.
