R&B singer Kehlani officially released her fifth studio album, KEHLANI, today (April 24), marking her first new project since 2024’s CRASH. The self-titled album arrives on her birthday and showcases a strong lineup of collaborators across R&B and hip-hop.
The 17-track project features appearances from Brandy, Usher, Missy Elliott, Cardi B, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Big Sean, Leon Thomas, Clipse, and Lil Jon.
Production on the album includes contributions from notable names such as Babyface, Jermaine Dupri, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, bringing a mix of classic R&B influence and contemporary sound.
Leading up to the album, Kehlani released several singles that set the tone for the project, including “Folded,” “Out the Window,” and “Back and Forth” featuring Missy Elliott.
A key release from the album is “I Need You,” featuring Brandy, which dropped alongside the full project. The track highlights both artists’ vocal styles over smooth R&B production and stands out as one of the album’s major collaborations.
Brandy also took to social to celebrate the release and to tease their new song from the project.
